Got my periodic lecture last night from my "high-tech, marketing-whiz daughter", Heather, last night. "Keep blogging, send it out on facebook, get those e-mails at the end of each class, put photos on your blog!"
Too much to remember, I just want to teach, cook and make sure everyone has a great evening. OK, I'll listen to her. She must be doing something right because besides being my personal business photographer (check out our website), she is booking weddings right and left this season!
So, blog away!
I was up at 5:50 am yesterday excited to get started. To me, cooking class day is like a party. Last night our class "Best of Thyme", featured Chicken Marengo. The batch I made ahead and finished off in the crock pot was an outrageous blend of flavors. I did not see one bit of sampling left on a plate at the end of the class.
It was lovely seeing my friends I met from Zonta, old friends like Karen who so thoughtfully brought me chocolate cherry ornamental sunflower seeds, Cheryl who admits she has never cooked before and has decided to learn now that she is retired. Each class is a mix of new and old friends. Our goal is that each one leave here as a friend and wants to return.
