It's that time of year when the garden starts looking a bit ragged. Yesterday I gave my plants some TLC; weeding, mulching, pulling out overgrown plants and today they get some fertilizer.
I remember when I first started my herb garden. We had visited an English garden at Epcot in Florida. I was intrigued by the shapes and smells of all the various plants. Then one by one I started learning how to grow each one and cook with them. Now, I can't imagine ever being without herbs to make foods taste the best.
There was a few sections of old wooden fence that first marked off the garden for herbs. Paul has since replaced the wood with some lovely white vinyl fencing and we have enlarged the area twice. It's my little oasis!
