My husband and friends say I always try to see the best in every situation. But today I really saw the most selfless act right at the grocery store today.
A total stranger walked up and paid for my groceries. I had a cart full and was checking out. I looked in my wallet and did not see my bank cards. Then I remembered my husband said we had to get new cards as someone tried to use our card number while we were gone on vacation. The store did not take credit cards.
My next move was to park my cart and head to the bank when a lovely young woman walked up and handed the cashier $80. She would not give me her name and address, just said - "Pay it forward someday when you get a chance."
I hugged her and looked around at a couple other shoppers who looked on in disbelief. So people, just be ready and be there when you see someone with a need. It wasn't about the money, but the fact that she cared enough to help someone. What an awesome human being!
