Speak Up

     Private class for our B&B guests last weekend, unexpected guests on Monday, class at Grove City Medical Center on Tuesday, and last night's herb class here.  Whew, I'm ready for a massage!  No, not yet - have to finish preparing to speak at a conference tomorrow. 

     Unpredictable, that's the life here.  After spending weeks of wondering when the cold weather will end (and still wondering), and working on repainting rooms, planning classes,  we can look forward to the new season. 

     One activity I resumed this winter was to become a member of Toastmaster International. Toastmasters is a group that helps you develop public speaking skills.  

     After a couple visits I joined a group in Chardon and was soon presenting my first speech there.   What an interesting, professional group!  Each member has a story, and they are serious about this mission.  They help me grow!

     So what's public speaking got to do with teaching cooking or hosting B&B guests?  Everything!  There are so many things going on at once during a culinary class I can't be stumbled by focusing on communication.
Just one more way to step up the class.  It helps me to be ready for the
